Kate Hersh-Boyle is an associate at Hersh & Hersh. She grew up watching her mother, Nancy Hersh, and her grandfather, LeRoy Hersh, build Hersh & Hersh based on their love of the law and their desire to achieve social justice by helping people who had been injured, or people who needed a voice, advocate for their rights. Kate was inspired by the dedication and passion of not only her mother and grandfather, but of all the attorneys at Hersh & Hersh, to become a lawyer and advocate for justice.

Kate worked at Hersh & Hersh as a law clerk during law school and became an associate after graduating from law school. Kate works on a variety of cases at Hersh & Hersh including product liability cases, personal injury cases, medical malpractice cases, premises liability cases, and general negligence cases.

She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University. After living in New York for two years after college, Kate moved back to San Francisco to attend University of San Francisco School of Law. In law school, she participated in the USF employment law clinic, representing individuals in administrative hearings. She was also a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Competition team and traveled to New York to compete in oral advocacy competitions against other law schools. She served as the Vice President of the USF Law Appellate Advocacy Board. During law school, she spent one summer doing human rights work, which took her traveling to Guatemala, and another summer working for a Judge at the San Francisco Superior Court.

Outside of the office and courtroom, Kate enjoys running, skiing, and traveling. She most recently traveled for a month in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Kate loved learning about the countries' rich histories, vibrant cultures and seeing the amazing sights.
